About Hannah Kovilpillai

Hannah began learning the oboe aged 10, and has been fortunate to have learnt from teachers such as Seung Eun Lee, Grant Dickson and Celia Craig. Hannah has been a casual oboist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra since 2016, with a highlight to date being guest Principal Oboe for the State Opera of South Australia’s production of The Mikado in 2019.

When Hannah is not playing oboe with the Adelaide Concert Orchestra, she works as an Associate Genetic Counsellor at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital, as she has rivalling passions for music and genetics.
